Meeting Minutes
March 24, 2007 11:00 a.m.
State Coordinator Glen Fiebig called the meeting to order. Roll call was taken by sign in sheet. Districts represented were 1, 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 16, 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30.
Motion to approve meeting minutes of January 27, 2007 was made by District 9. Second by District 13. Motion passed.
Motion to approve finance report dated March 17, 2007 was made by District 17. Second by District 24. Motion passed.
The PVUA Constitution and By-Laws were brought back to the floor. Coordinator Fiebig requested an executive session of District Administrators for discussion. Following discussion, motion to discontinue our association with the PVUA was made by District 2. Second by District 25. The motion was clarified with the understanding that the funds initially put into the PVUA by the District Administrators the first two years be returned. Motion passed with a roll call vote.
Motion to move the funds from the PVUA account to the District Administrator Association general account was made by District 11. Second by District 13. Motion passed.
The executive session was ended.
Coordinator Fiebig asked for reports from each section regarding sites for 2007 section tournaments. All information needs to be submitted to him so that it can be given to Eastern Region Headquarters and posted on the state web site. Locations for all the 2007 state tournaments were reviewed with corrections and updates made.
Coordinator Fiebig reviewed the 2007 tournament calendar and talked about conducting section and state tournaments.
Motion to only play the playoff game in pool play tournaments if there was a tie was made by District 18. Second by District 17. This would eliminate situations where a team could come through pool play undefeated and then lose the playoff game and not advance. Motion passed.
